1) Tell me about yourself. When did you come to PVS?

  • Salam my name is Ahmed and I came to PVS in 6th grade.
2) How has attending a Muslim private school shaped your identity and values?

  • Attending a Muslim private school as allowed me to grow comfortably as a Muslim knowing everyone around me holds the same religious values.  Coming from a public school, I used to feel separated from the rest because of my Muslim identity, but pvs has allowed me to embrace it.
3) What are your future goals, and how do you see yourself achieving them?

  • My future goal is to work in the medical field and become a cardiologist. I hope I am able to give back to the community through my success. I plan on achieving this by putting my trust in Allah and working hard in med school.
4) If you could pick any Quranic verse, Hadith, or quote that could describe your experience at PVS what would it be and why?

  • “O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.” 2:153 in the Quran because it truly shows the importance of patience and how you must stay patient to get through rough times in your life. This ayah allowed me to get through my difficult times in school.
5) What advice do you have for the underclassmen?

  • Live in the moment. High school goes by quickly and you should enjoy life before it gets serious.
6) What is the best and worst thing about being a senior?

  • The best thing about being a senior is being done with the difficult classes in high school. The worst thing about senior year is procrastinating your college applications.
