Light Art VR returned to PVS this year on Nov 18th much to the excitement of students and staff. Brother Laith ran the program with funding from Memphis Islamic Center. With 2 new additions of “The Life of Jesus Christ PBUH” and “The Story of Musa PBUH” as, students were able to move 360 degrees on rotating chairs in virtual renditions of Islamic events. When asked to describe her favorite VR experience, 10th grader Inas AlHazzaz said about Isra and Al Miraj: ”It looked like I’m literally in Mecca ,” When asked about the Musa as VR experience a viewer said:” I like how it immerses you in the story. It makes it prophet stories realistic, not distant” When asked why he did the program and ordered the headsets Brother Laith said: “Education and entertainment. It’s a Dawah opportunity for Muslims and non Muslims to learn about Islam and the history of Islam “ Comments are closed.
